The ERO385 includes a status light to assist with filter changes. This article will help you troubleshoot the light if it indicates a filter change prematurely or unexpectedly.
Premature Light – indicates filter change before it is necessary
1. Check the see if the magnet may be stuck, allowing it to continue to count usage even when no water is being used.
2. Test the TDS of product water before changing the membrane to be sure it needs to be replaced.
Constant Light – indicates filter change after a new filter is installed
1. Clean the probes on the unit and consider changing the batteries.
2. Test the TDS of product water before replacing the membrane to be sure it needs to be replaced.
Resetting the LED Light
The system comes with a default 6 month timer. To change from 6 to 12 months:
1. Hold the Reset button and watch the LED – it will go steady, then flicker, then go off for 6 seconds (continue to hold). When the LED begins to blink after about 12 seconds of holding, release the button.
2. Once the button is released, the LED will show several double blinks to indicate the 12 month timer is set.
3. Repeat this process to change back to 6 months.
