This article will walk you through some quick and easy routine cleaning steps to stop your Osmosis unit from leaking at the air gap.
Note: As water travels down the drain, it creates a vacuum (gurgling). Noise only happens when the RO is producing water.
1. Check that the flow control insert is not dislodged from the drain hose.
2. Is there is constant flow to the drain even when the tank is full?
a. YES; replace the Manifold.
b. NO; Run the drain line to an alternative drain, or attach fishing line to the barb and run down the drain line, allow a few inches to hang in the drain. This will create a slide for the water to follow, reducing the amount of air and water mixing.
