An Error code generally indicates a malfunction in the electronic components during a recharge. Use this article as a guide to determine the source of the error, and how to fix it.
Err05 - Faceplate is not accepting signal from switch. Replace Faceplate.
Err01/Err03 - Faceplate not receiving signal from switch, or motor is malfunctioning.
Err04 - Receiving signal from switch, but at incorrect time.
1. Confirm all wiring connections are correct and in place:
2. Unplug the power supply and plug back in. Is the motor continuously running?
NO; try to advance the valve. If the motor does not turn, or the PWA beeps three times, either the Motor or Rotor Disc is causing the Error and need to be replaced.
YES; Continue to step 3.
3. If an error code is currently displayed on the screen, skip to step 7.
4. If an error code is not currently on the screen, press the Select button to access the Main Menu.
5. Use the Down arrow to scroll through the menu to Advanced Settings. Press Select.
6. Use the Down arrow to scroll through this menu to Troubleshooting. Press Select. Make sure Diagnostics is highlighted.
7. Press Select to display the Diagnostics screen:
8. Use the Down arrow to scroll through the list until the 'Valve Position Switch' is displayed.
9. Observe the switch indicator (open or closed) in the faceplate display. If the indicator sporadically flips back and forth, replace the Switch and Wire Harness.
