A continuous flow of water to the drain is often the result of a faulty rotor disc or valve seals. This article will explain how to replace the rotor disc and seal kit on 1” single disc and dual disc valves.
Possible Cause:
Faulty Rotor Disc and Seal kit
Solution:
Remove the valve cover and check the rotor disc and internal seals - replace if needed.
Replacing the Rotor Disc and Seal Kit
1" Single Disc - AIV / EIV / PF
1. Bypass the unit and carefully remove the valve cover.
2. Replace the seal kit and rotor parts. Reassemble the valve, turn water on, and check for leaks.
1" Dual Disc - ECCWS
1. Bypass the unit and carefully remove the retaining clamps, clips, and end caps (#1 and 14) to access the internal seals.
2. Replace with parts from the Disc kit: numbered below 2, 3, 6, 7, 9, 10, 12 and 13. Reassemble valve head, turn water on, and check for leaks.
