If the tank is filling with water or not draining properly, there may be an internal leak. Let's go through a few steps here and then do a quick test.
Before You Start
- Make sure the unit is not in a recharge cycle. The home screen will show if it's in a recharge cycle. If it is, wait to perform the following steps when the unit is done recharging.
Step 1 - Remove Brine Hose
1. First, you'll need to remove the top cover.
2. Next, you'll need to bypass the water softener by pushing the handle IN.
3. Go ahead and disconnect the black Brine hose from the Venturi.
4. Now, you can take the unit out of bypass by pulling the bypass handle back OUT.
Step 2 - Test
Time to test. You'll need to turn on a softened water faucet, and leave it running for 5-10 minutes. Then, return to the unit.
Did water leak out of the venturi port into the bowl?
- YES - Bypass the unit again by pushing the handle back IN. There is most likely a broken seal inside the valve head. We recommend replacing the Rotor/Seal Kit.
- NO - You may have an internal leak somewhere else within your system. Contact Technical Support for further troubleshooting help if you need.
