The softener's overflow hose leads excess water out of the tank if it overfills.
1. You'll need to start by locating the overflow hole in the back of the salt tank, about a quarter of the way down.
2. Insert the black grommet into the hole on the salt tank.
3. Now, push the overflow adaptor elbow into the grommet.
4. Go ahead and push the hose onto the overflow adaptor and secure it with the included hose clamp.
5. Lastly, the overflow hose is gravity-fed and should be routed directly downward into a nearby floor drain. If no floor drain is available, simply run the hose into a 5-gallon bucket next to the softener. You're done!
