This article provides step-by-step instructions for connecting a water softener or refiner to our EcoWater Systems WiFi Manager app.
Which device are you using to connect?
Connecting an iOS Device
Download and Install the App
1. Open the App Store and download the EcoWater Systems WiFi Manager App:
2. Login to the App using the Dealer Username and Password.
3. Locate the Customer's name on the 'My WiFi Customers' list. If you do not see their name, you can Create an Account for them, or they can download the app on their own device and create an account.
4. Click the 'Add a System' button.
Connect the Unit
1. Go to the Main Menu and choose Advanced Settings > Wireless Setup
2. Select Browser. Press the Select button twice. 'See connection instructions' will display.
3. On your iOS device, open the Settings app and chose WiFi.
4. Select a network called 'H20 - '. It will have about 12 characters following it.
5. Open the EcoWater Systems app again. Click the 'Next' button.
6. Choose the customer's Wifi network and enter the password if required.
7. Return back to the iOS Settings app and select the customer's home Wifi network.
8. Open the EcoWater Systems app again to finish the setup. On the softener/filter display, you will see 'Connected' and a Key Code shown.
9. Use the Key Code in the EcoWater Systems app to register the system.
Basic System Settings
1. Enter the basic settings the EcoWater app - nickname, hardness, iron level, salt type, etc.
2. Click 'Next'. Enter the customer's email or cell phone information for receiving alerts. Click 'Next'.
3. Choose the alert preferences and click 'Next'. You will see a 'Congratulations!' message, click 'OK'.
4. At this point, you can Connect a Customer to a Dealer, if the customer wishes to do so.
Connecting an Android Device
Download and Install the App
1. Open the Play Store and download the EcoWater Systems WiFi Manager App:
2. Login to the App using the Dealer Username and Password.
3. Locate the Customer's name on the 'My WiFi Customers' list. If you do not see their name, you can Create an Account for them, or they can download the app on their own device and create an account.
4. Click the 'Add a System' button.

Connecting via WPS button
1. Before you start, make sure you Setup a Customer Account and connect it to your dealer account with the App or through wifi.ecowater.com.
2. On the softener/filter, go to the Main Menu and choose Advanced Settings > Wireless Setup. Highlight 'Pushbutton (WPS)' and push 'Select'.
3. On the WiFi router, press the WPS button. After a few minutes, 'Connected!' will display on the softener/filter screen. If this screen does not show, use the Browser option to connect.
4. Use the Key Code in the EcoWater Systems app to register the system.
Connecting Via Browser
1. Open a web browser on your desktop or mobile device (i.e. Safari on iOS).
2. On the softener/filter, go to the Main Menu and choose Advanced Settings > Wireless Setup. Highlight 'Browser)' and push 'Select'.
3. On the browser, type in wifi.ecowater.com
4. Log in with the customer's account information and click 'Add a Device'.
5. Open the Wifi settings on your desktop or mobile device. Select the network that starts with 'H20'.
6. Go back to the browser and type - 192.168.0.1 in the browser search bar. Click the 'Connect' button:
7. Enter the WiFi password and click 'Connect'.
8. Click 'Dismiss'. The softener/filter should display a 'Connected!' message with a key code.
9. Navigate back to wifi.ecowater.com or the Ecowater App, and log in with the customer's credentials.
10. Click 'Add a Device', then click 'Next' two times.
11. Enter the Key Code from the softener/filter screen.
12. Continue to walk through the settings and preferences here to complete the setup.
