Need to replace the diaphragm on your system? We're here to help! The diaphragm is important because it controls water production by opening and closing based on the amount of water in the storage tank. Let's get started below!
Tools Needed: Hex screwdriver
Replacement Steps
1. You'll want to start by stopping the water supply to the system for this process. You can either turn the feed water off or remove the Prefilter.
2. Now you'll empty the storage tank. Go ahead and turn on the filtered faucet and let it run until the water flow stops and the tank is empty.
3. You'll remove the Cover to get access to inside the manifold.
4. There are six (6) screws that hold the Auto Shut-off Cover onto the Manifold. Remove those screws.
5. Now you can remove the diaphragm and pieces inside. Remove the upper Diaphragm, Plunger, Spacer Ring, and lower Diaphragm.
6. Grab the new diaphragm and reassemble the system with the new pieces.
7. You're ready to put the six screws back into the Auto Shut Off Cover. Go ahead and attach the Cover to the system.
8. Last step here is to turn the water back on to the system. Either turn the feed water back on or reattach the Prefilter you removed. You'll want to watch for leaks over the next few hours just to be safe. Great work! You're finished!
