The manifold/head assembly is the main connection point on the system, housing the filter cartridges and tubing. Follow our steps below to cut the water supply to the unit, transfer parts to the new manifold, and test for leaks. Applies to models: ERO175 and ERO385.

Step 1 - Disassemble the Unit
1. First, you'll want to start by turning the cold-water supply off to the system. Have a few towels nearby in case of any drips from leftover water in the hoses.
2. Go ahead and open/turn on the filtered water faucet. We need to allow the storage tank to empty completely. When the water stops running close/turn off the faucet. You can double check the tank is empty by lifting the tank – it'll be about 5 lbs.
3. Now, remove the green hose from the manifold/head assembly by pushing IN on the green collet, and pulling OUT on the green hose.
4. Disconnect the yellow hose from the manifold/head assembly in the same way. NOTE: This hose is attached to the pressurized tank, so a small amount of residual water may spray out when disconnected.
5. Remove the red hose from the manifold/head assembly. Depending on the model, there may be a gray elbow at the red hose connection (pictured below). In this case, remove both the red hose and elbow. Confirm the flow control insert is inside the red hose (or gray elbow if present):
6. Last hose to remove now is the blue one.
7. For the final step here, you'll need to remove the three filter cartridges. Remove the Prefilter, then RO Cartridge/Membrane, then Postfilter. Then set the old manifold to the side.
Step 2 - Reassemble the Unit
1. It's important to make sure the end of the hoses don't have scratches or tears because this can cause leaks. Examine them and then if needed, give the hoses a new square cut.
2. Go ahead and grab the new manifold/head assembly and attach the hoses to the matching connection ports. Make sure to push the hoses in as far as possible to prevent leaking.
NOTE: Confirm the orange flow control insert is in the red hose (or elbow, if present) before reattaching the hose/elbow to the new manifold/head assembly.
3. Once all the hoses are connected, you can now attach the previous filter cartridges (if under 6 months old), or new cartridges. Start with the Postfilter, then RO Cartridge/Membrane, then Prefilter.
4. Now, you can turn the cold-water supply back on to the unit. Once it's turned on you'll want to watch for any leaking from the system or hoses.
Reminders
- After emptying the tank, it can take a few hours to fill back up again.
- If installing new filters, you'll need to purge the system.
